ProbaBaby (listed on the App Store as “Pregnancy & Baby Tracker - PB”) is a free iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch app for pregnancy, newborn and postpartum tracking, built for twins, in 32 in-app languages, with an optional AI baby-face prediction that computes Mendelian genetics (Punnett squares) from the traits you enter before any image is generated. Tracking, tools, PDF reports and family sharing are free; only AI predictions use credits — 5 starter credits cover your first Scientific prediction — and no subscription is required. Requires iOS 26 or later. Not available on Android.

Unlike apps that simply blend parent photos, ProbaBaby calculates genetic probabilities using real scientific models - including Punnett squares, dominant/recessive genes, and polygenic inheritance - before generating AI visualizations.

Predictions compute trait probabilities in code with Punnett squares before any image is generated, so the percentages come from inheritance models rather than from blending photos. The confidence figure (60–95 %) reflects how complete your inputs are; it is not an accuracy measurement and is capped at 95 % by design. Predictions are for entertainment and education. Credits are the currency used for AI-powered predictions. Different prediction modes require different amounts of credits: Standard Mode (8), Premium Mode (12), and Scientific Mode (4).

No! Credits never expire. Buy once, use anytime.

Yes — every new account gets 5 starter credits, enough for one free Scientific prediction (4 credits). After that, buy a credit pack whenever you want more; credits never expire.

No subscription is ever needed. Predictions run on credits, and nothing else in the app is paywalled. Seedling, Bloom and Blossom are optional Supporter subscriptions (Seedling monthly only; Bloom and Blossom monthly or yearly). They unlock no features and give no discount — they keep the app free and independent and are recognised with badges and the Supporter Wall.

We analyze eye color (2-gene model), hair color and type, skin tone (polygenic), height, and facial features including face shape, nose shape, dimples, and freckles.

Grandparent data helps us detect hidden recessive genes — for example, a brown-eyed parent might carry a recessive blue-eye allele from their own parent, which could appear in their child. Premium predictions are the ones that ask for all four grandparents; Standard and Scientific work from the two parents alone.

Punnett squares are a genetic tool that shows all possible gene combinations from two parents. We use them to calculate the probability of each trait appearing in your baby.

By inputting traits from all four grandparents, we can trace genetic inheritance patterns across generations and identify recessive genes that might otherwise be hidden.

Parent photos are used only to run your prediction and are deleted from our servers a few hours after it finishes — never before the prediction completes, and at least 4 hours after upload. The prediction itself — the report and the generated images — is removed from your account after 48 hours by default; you can choose 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days in Settings. Scientific mode sends no photos at all.

Absolutely not. We never sell your personal data. Your genetic information and photos are used solely for generating your predictions.

Your data is encrypted in transit, with iOS data protection at rest on your device; photos are processed in private, access-controlled storage and are deleted a few hours after your prediction. You can delete your account from inside the app (the policy commits to removing personal data within 30 days) and export your account data — the rights GDPR describes, access, export and erasure, are open to everyone who uses ProbaBaby, wherever you live. We run no advertising, attribution or product-analytics SDKs, and we never sell data.

Yes — delete your account directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account), behind a two-step confirmation. Your data is then removed from our servers under a 30-day policy window. You can also email privacy@proba.baby.

Yes! ProbaBaby includes a full Apple Watch app for tracking kicks during pregnancy, and logging feeding, sleep, and diapers during postpartum - perfect for 3am feedings when you don't want to reach for your phone.
